Information for Speakers

Dear speaker,

First of all, we would like to thank you for your interest in giving a talk in the area of biomedical engineering for the Swiss IEEE EMBS Chapter. Below you will find important information.

Since IEEE is an international organization whose official language is English, all presentations have to be given in English. This also ensures that people who do not understand all local languages (German and French) are not excluded every once in a while.

If we did not agree on different terms, talks should not last longer than 45 minutes. 45 minutes is in fact a good duration. Additional 15 minutes are available for questions and discussion.

Before we can advertise the event, we would need the following from you:

  • Title of the presentation

  • Abstract of the presentation

  • Short biography of yourself

  • Picture of yourself, preferably in the format 140 pixels x 140 pixels

Examples of abstracts, biographies, etc. are available on our events page.

If the event location is in the main building of BFH-TI at Quellgasse 21 in Biel, instructions on how to get to this location are available here.

We are looking forward to your presentation.

Best regards,

Volker Koch
